The millennium industry has seen a new life. Recently, the 2018 China (Liuyang) International Fireworks and Firecrackers Fair was held in Dayao Town, Liuyang City, Hunan Province.

In 1933, fireworks and firecrackers from Liuyang exhibited at the Chicago World Expo and won prizes, which further expanded the influence of Chinese firework fireworks overseas.


In 1995, Liuyang was awarded the title of "Hometown of Chinese Fireworks" by the State Council. Liuyang Fireworks was listed as a local industrial protection project. In 2006, Liuyang fireworks art was listed in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
