On the evening of September 8th, the celebration of Moscow City Day's fireworks show will be lit at the same time in 30 squares and parks in various urban areas. On the 9th of this month, Moscow, the capital of Russia, will celebrate its 871th birthday.
On September 8th and 9th, the celebration of City Day will be held in more than 2,000 squares in various districts of Moscow. During the event, 1,150 master classes will be held free of charge for Moscow citizens, covering horticulture, botany, design and cooking. In addition, 3,000 sets of sports rides will be deployed throughout Moscow. There will also be 280 concerts and performances during the festival and 50 event gardens for the public.
During the festival, citizens of Moscow will have the opportunity to taste more than 100 kinds of jams, honey and more than 160 kinds of ice cream. Flower growers can choose flower seeds, seedlings, plant specimens and potted plants at the event.
