Turkey's Sakarya Fireworks Factory Explodes And The Number Of People Killed Increases To 6

On July 5, local time, the governor of Turkey’s Sakarya Province, Ceti Okte Kaldirin, confirmed that the number of victims in the fireworks factory explosion in the province has risen to 6, and one person is still missing. Ongoing.


On July 3, local time, an explosion occurred in the fireworks factory in the Hendick district of Sakarya. The power was huge. At that time, hundreds of workers were working in the factory. As of now, the accident has caused 6 deaths, 114 injured and 1 missing. At present, most of the injured have been discharged, and 8 people are still receiving continuous treatment, including 1 in critical condition.


The cause of the explosion is still under investigation. On July 4, local time, the local prosecutor has arrested three persons involved, one manager and two foremen. Previously, the plant had similar explosion accidents in 2009 and 2014, respectively, which caused casualties.
